Mission:Monte-Carlo is one of four feature-length programmes made up of two episodes each. The episodes in this 'movie' are Powerswitch and The Gold NapoleonAs with the other 'features' there are a few oddities that make it differ from the episodes that make-up the feature. The Precision Video version is the rarest of the two on account of a couple of things:
Many copies surfaced later on the ex-rental market but as time goes on the less likely the chances of finding a copy.
- It was priced at about 70 pounds when released in the early 80's, putting it out of the reach of most fans
- UK VCR penetration (oo-er, missus) was only a single-figure at that point so most fans didn't have a vcr or simply didn't know the tape was available.
The Channel 5 issue is much more common and wasn't deleted as quickly as the Polygram editions were.

Mission:Monte Carlo nuances
- Like the other 3 'movies', the opening titles of Mission:Monte Carlo is the most obvious aspect of notable difference. The opening water-ski sequence lends itself quite nicely to the burning-in of titles as the frame-captures below will attest.
- As the normal opening title sequence has been cut-out entirely, the film cuts from the discovery of the watch on Julie Blake's wrist to Brett arriving at the morgue in his car. A single high-angle wide shot of a bay that served as the base for the Powerswitch title has been extracted. From a 'feature' point of view it probably made more sense to leave this shot out as it was really only an establishing shot anyway.
- The shots of Brett arriving at the morgue are devoid of the burned-in actor/writer/director credits that appear in the episodic versions.
- The interchange between Danny and Quinn Travis has been removed.
- In the Gold Napoleon portion of the film, the post-opening theme interchange between Danny and Brett in the latters car as they travel to see the Judge, is missing.
